And You Thought Dragons Didn’t Exist...

Benjamin could see the ash marks and footprints all over his garden. He felt a tap on his left shoulder, but he knew it couldn’t be a person. Benjamin had felt the warm air that had come from behind, and he could feel it closing in. His eyes closed, and he was ready for the inevitable, and you thought dragons did not exist?

It leaped over him and licked his face, covering him in saliva. Its blood-red eyes made a shiver run up his spine. The voice inside Benjamin’s head told him to stay still and calm, as the dragon spoke in a very unknown style, even about things that nobody knew. The dragon had started to become impatient, thinking the boy had ignored him. But in reality, the boy did not understand anything. The dragon grabbed the boy by his neck and had flown away.

Benjamin’s mind had nothing but fear and confusion. The dragon flew him through the beautiful greenery which had a cave hidden at the end of the journey. The dragon had stopped in front of the cave. Benjamin whispered his name from the entrance of the cave. Suddenly the noise came back even louder than he thought. He didn't want to go inside, but the dragon had grabbed him with its tail and went in. He took a deep breath and went with the dragon, as Benjamin was unaware of the adventure that lay ahead.

As his eyes adjusted to the gloomy cave, he saw a glowing pathway. He tried to sneak out of the dragon’s tail and run back, but the dragon had stared at him and grunted. The boy had no choice but to move forward. He kept looking everywhere, thinking there may be some sort of exit. All they did was go deeper and deeper until he knew he was lost. Soon enough, the cave widened, It looked like the cave had beautiful gems and pearls. They took one more turn. The next thing he saw, he was in a valley. He saw beautiful flowers and lush grass which was very amusing and eye-catching.

He thought he was dreaming, he squinted his eyes and looked again and again. But for some reason, he didn't feel right. Suddenly the dragon had rushed in front of him and scared the living guts out of Benjamin. Benjamin had almost fallen to the ground as he got very scared. The dragon had tried to take him away but the dragon stopped. The dragon had gone up to him and had a rough smile. The dragon was very friendly, as he did not hurt him at all. Suddenly Benjamin shot up from his bed looking around his room. All he could see was his study table and a few posters of dragons around his room. Benjamin loved dragons and adventures.
